Swiss Open 2013: Brice Leverdez outplays Kevin Cordon in Men’s Singles first round
France’s experienced player Brice Leverdez showed his elevated skills in the arena and remained successful in defeating Guatemala’s Kevin Cordon in Men’s Singles first round of Swiss Open 2013 on Tuesday, March 12, in Switzerland.
The in-form Leverdez, who has been looking for a breakthrough for the last one year, played with wonderful speed and precision and managed to show the door to Cordon in a dominating manner by taking just 22 minutes in the arena.
French shuttler started his run in a fast and aggressive manner and he did not show even the slightest mercy to his challenger. He remained successful in finishing up this Men’s Singles opening round clash in straight games with a completely crushing margin
of 21-7 and 21-9.
Cordon, on the contrary, failed to play aggressive badminton at any stage in the whole fight as he could not find a good flow. He struggled against his in-form French challenger and crashed out without proving his worth.
It was a wonderful fight in the initial points when Leverdez showed attacking display of his craft on court. The highly elevated craft and wonderful strategy assisted Leverdez to put his challenger in all sorts of trouble in the arena.
