Well, I'm going to visit Switzerland for a couple days and I was wondering what kind of chocolate I should get for her.

Nothing too expensive, but something rare in Cali.

  1. Swiss Army products aren't expensive. Or get the thinnest watch made by swatch, they are cheap and useful. I have one my self and I like it.

  2. she asked you to get her something?!?!!? woo baby

  3. I really really like these - Raisins au Cognac - they are expensive but so gooood.... http://www.confiserie-mirabeau.ch/  but they are just available in La-Chaux-de-Fonds (if you are  in the french part go there you'll love it)

Yes, Spruengli is expensive but really good- if you like her I would buy here something (in Zurich, Zug, Winterthur or Basel)

But the biggest problem: the chocolate will melt easily!!!!! May be you should bring her something different.....

  4. I'm not Swiss and have never been there. I can't give you names and addresses like the other guys who deserve Best Answer more than me. But I do travel and know what its like trying to get something for a pretty girl. I've found chocolate to be a bad choice since American tastes are different from tastes in other countries. Maybe I'm just being paranoid since every girl I know is really picky about her food, but I'd seriously consider something else unless she's a true connoisseur. With that being said, on your way there check out the duty free catalog on the plane. Find that brand when your there and buy a small bar and see if you like it. If its good, buy it on the way back. Duty free stuff tends to come in nice gift packaging so it'll be nice. Plus you save some money on tax and you know it won't be melted.

  5. Well go to MIGROS or DENNER and have a look at the chocolate boxes. The prices are everywhere similar for a good quality. Avoid the famous shops like Sprüngli or Teuscher! They have wonderful creations but expensive...Also keep the chocolate fresh otherwise it will melt!
