Switzerland’s coach, Hitzfeld has insisted that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, in order to salvage his career and evolve as a footballer.
The twenty five year old centre back has fallen down the pecking order at the club in recent months and is now sitting behind, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Per-Mertesacker-c29680.
Given the quality of the trio, it seems that the Swiss defender might find it very hard to break into the first team over the coming seasons. As a result, his international coach feels that it would be better for him to leave the club, in order to secure
first team football.
Djourou was on the bench for Switzerland’s last match against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904, as he saw his side go on and beat the Germans by five goals to three.
Despite Djourou being one of the best defenders in the Swiss team, the manager admitted that he was only left out, due to his lack of first team experience and match practice. At the same time, he feels that the defender could also blow his opportunities
to play in the qualifying rounds for the 2014 World Cup, should things continue in the same manner.
When talking about Djourou and just what he should do, Hitzfeld is reported to have said: "For Djourou, the question arises of a transfer"
"If he wants to be selected, he must have some game time in the club. This is not the case at Arsenal."
The defender has already spent time away on loan from Arsenal, which makes us question whether it would be a wise move to do that once again.
Given the fact that he is now twenty five years old and that he isn’t getting any younger, the player needs to move to a team, which would allow him to develop and become a much better player.
Unless Arsenal have another mass clear out due to injuries, it doesn’t seem like he would get his opportunity to play for the first team any time soon.
As a result, it is now going to be down to the player to decide just what he wants to do in the future.
