Question:

Switch between network adapters?

I have two internet connections in my house...one with ADSL and the other is with fiber optic. On my desktop I have two network adapter/cards installed with network cables plugged in to both connections. I want to know if there is a quick way to disable one card, and enable to other card as to switch the connection I am using. I know this can be done by going into the Network Connections but if there was a desktop app, etc. that would be what I am looking for. Thanks.

  1. Create a shortcut to be put on desktop for the connection you want to disable

    To disable right click disable

  2. In Windows, Go to your NIC properties and check the box that says "Show icon in notification area when connected."  Then you can right-click the icon and "disable".
