Switched birth controls....?

Hi, I've been on Yaz since the beginning of July and just last Sunday switched pills and started Sprintec.

I was in the middle of my period at the time, and noticed that it lasted a bit longer than usual and realized it was because I was spotting. (I figured I'd go sailing smoothly into the new BC...not)

Well, I stopped spotting and everything went back to normal, and then Friday night I had s*x. Starting yesterday, I've been spotting/bleeding with teeny tiny bits of cramping...is this normal since my body is still getting used to the new pill?

  1. Yeah, it happens with some meds, and withother it might not...

I started on the Patch, and a year later switched to the Ring... No problems... then, a year or so later I switched to OrthoNovum (pill) and I spotted a few times the first month and a half... Nothing too bad...

Last April I switched to Mirena (IUD) and it was heavy spotting and cramping for almost 2 1/2 months!!! Bummer!

But now everything got back to normal, and I haven't had a period in months ! I am so happy (It's supposed to happen that way on the IUD)

    It's so worth it!

What you are going through is normal... Just put up with it for a little bit more, and it should be fine...
