I tried it when he was young but he was very picky with his formula. I was wondering if anyone else did this at an early age & it didn't work then tried again & it was ok.

  1. we did it with my niece.she was on sililac for 3 months then we changed to earths best my gammy didnt want to make her sick so we did half similac and half earths best when he introduced her and eventually only did earths best and she was happy none gassy etc

  2. I didn't switch her...but I just wanted to say that we use Sams Club brand and have since she was a couple of months old. She loves it and we have had no problems with it. She rarely spits up or has bad gas. And its CHEAP! I recommend it!

  3. Try mixing the formulas, gradually increasing the amount of the genetic so he can get used to it.

  4. just try it.  There systems are much more developed at this age.  Most people are going to tell you to call his doc.  You can but don't need to formula is food, do you call the doc everytime you feed him a new food?

If he was 8 weeks I'd proceed with caution but at 8 months they can handle alot.

  5. My daughter was on Good Start until she was 7 months old then we switched her to the Walmart brand and had no problems, we didn't mix half and half we just went straight to it. She did just fine
