Switching Internal HD to an External HD

Question

I'm moving all of the data to the external hard drive. But when I went to delete the files on teh internal HD the LED on the exetrnal started blinking like it was deleting the files from there also. what should I do I really need to free up space.

OK. Be sure you already copied all your data to your external hard drive. After copying, verify it.Then, after verifying,safely remove your external drive. Now you are sure that you data on your external drive won't be deleted when you delete it in your internal hard drive.
