I am switching from comcast triple play (digital phone, internet and tv) to verizon fios triple play/bundle. Does the phone service that comes with the fios bundle (dont know if it's digtal or analog) let you keep your exisiting phone number??

note: just a year ago I ported my number from verizon (analog) phone to comcast, but fios just came to my area and we want to switch back to verizon.

  1. Yes you can.  When you call to order FIOS you will be asked if your are a current Verizon customer.  If not as in your case you will be asked if you want to "port" over your current phone number.  It is that easy.  When the installer comes to switch you back to they will call a special center for customers wanting to keep their current number from another company.  It will take about an hour after they call for you number to be ported back to the FIOS network.  You will be still be able make calls.  Your number should be ported back by the time the install in complete.
