Switching my tv from tv setting to video setting...

i got a older rca 25 inch swivel base tv from my father inlaw. I hooked up my dvd/vcr player to the rca plugs on the back. How do i switch from tv to video to play my dvd/vcr?? is there a button or switch somewhere??? HELP!
