Switching parents??????

My parents are divorced so i live with my mom. My mom doesn't mind if i live with someone else. Not my dad but with a friend. She doesn't realy care for us too well so i want to live with my friend and her parents. Do i need paper work? what kind of paper work is needed? please help, i want to switch parents soon after all, my mom doesn't realy care if i leave.

The reason i won't live with my dad is because i want to go to the same school and live around my friends. Hope i you can help!

It depends on how official you want to make it.  We had a friend of my daughter's live with us for two months.  We didn't have any paperwork.  It was like an extended visit.  However, when she was sick, I had to call her house and have her mother call the school.

If you want your friend's parents to be your guardians, then there will be paperwork.  Your mother will have to sign over guardianship to them.  That will give them all the rights your mother has, signing school permission slips, medical attention, etc.

I'm so sorry for you. Hang in there and never give up. I think paper work is needed. If your not sure ask your mom but if you do not want to ask her ask you friend's mom. And make sure it is ok with your friend's mom. Your in my prayers
