I recently broke my sprint/nextel ic502 and am now getting the sprint m520 phone made by samsung. I was wondering if the m520 had a sim card slot and if not how do i activate this phone using the same number as my old phone and using the same plan and everything without having to get a new plan.

  1. Your Samsung phone is on Sprint's CDMA network, which doesn't use SIM cards.  Sprint's iDEN (Nextel) network uses SIM cards.

You will be able to activate your new phone and keep the same phone number, and not change your plan.  Sprint has actually made this process pretty easy.

When you get your new Samsung phone, it will come with activation instructions.  You'll have to call into an activation 800-number and key in a code that is on the packing slip.  Don't worry, its a piece of cake.
