  1. ok, I'm swiss

    1. customs: swiss LOVE their noon break

schools have 2 hours at noon to go home and have a hot meal (very annoying!!!!!!!!)

    2. tipical food:

-raclette (cheese mealted on raclette ovon eaten with potatoes, pickles, pickled onions and pickled baby corn

-fondue (melted cheese in a pot, you dip bread sometimes also vergetables in it)

-"Chäschüechli" (=Cheese pie) also exists with onions, spinach and ham

-other things eaten a lot: rösti (hashbrowns), sausages, potatoes, pork, nüssli salat (special type of salad, small leaves, looking and tasting a bit like spinach, but also having a nutty taste; nüssli=nuts)

    3.hobbies:

-jass, it's a card game, but I'm not sure if that would be very interessting to do in front of the class

-jodeling, not sure if you want to do that either

  2. You trust *us* more than books, newpapers, and magazine articles???? *rolls eyes*  Go to your library and look up Switzerland in the encyclopedias.  Most libraries have two or three really good sets of encyclopedias.  Those encyclopedia articles will help you answer those questions.  Then from there find a travel guide on Switzerland, a Swiss/European cookbook, etc.

If you want to look at Swiss websites for hobbies and local cuisine translate them through Alta Vista's babblefish.  Most Swiss speak French or German, so my guess is that most if not all Swiss websites are French or German.  Some might even be nice enough to have English translations already.  Swiss websited end in .ch.

  3. 1st of all what grade are u like in???

  4. NO WORRY,DO UR OWN THINGS IN UR OWN WAY

  5. - customs of Switzerland - hmm, we are silent :D

we have a government that is composed of 4 different parties, from the left (socialists) until the far right (conservatives) what is very uncommon for the very most (maybe all) countries.

    - hobbies - not much different than in other countries, maybe except many people are a member in a certain club (sports, singing etc.)

    - typical dishes, are you speaking german? here they are (including the recipes in german)

    http://www.foodnews.ch/cooking/20_rezept...

the most famous of them are:

    cheese fondue

    zürcher Geschnetzeltes

    bärner Röschti

engadiner Nusstorte (this is a really great nut cake)
