I am traveling around Switzerland and France and was wondering if there are any "must see" places. I'm already staying in Basel, Switzerland and visiting Paris, France. Any other places?

  1. ok, for France, if you are into foods, go to Lyon.  Avignon is a beautiful little city in France, not too far from Lyon either. Also, towards the south, St. Maxime is amazing, its right next to St. Tropez.

Switzerland.... go to INTERLAKEN. That is a must see!!!

And Grindelwald, which is right next to Interlaken, there is a train that takes you all around this area of Interlaken.  Lucerne is a beautiful city, visit mt. Pilatus, the view is awesome, and try taking the cogwheel up, its the steepest cogwheel in the world, and scary as h**l, but worth every scary moment of it.

Geneva is really beautiful too, right on Lake Lemans.

But Interlaken by far was my favorite!  Lots of things to do. Mountains, lakes, snow, skiing, hiking, parasailing, zorbing, skydiving.  There is a lot of things to do out there.  Plus there is a train that takes you to the higest point of Europe, They call it Top of Europe, but there is another name for it, but dont remember it, its kind of long, and its German.

Also, if you have time, visit Mount St. Michel, which is in Normandy. Its a monestary that is surrounded by water during high tide. Its actually the number one visite site in France, lol.

Its breathtaking, loved going out there, lots of history.
