Swnymor set to win Skybet Handicap
The William Haggas trained bay gelding, Swnymor, is all set to seal first position in the Skybet Handicap by capitalising on the winning drive produced by his outstanding victory of the last month. The Class 4 race is going to take place at Windsor racecourse
on Monday, July 16. The action is scheduled to begin at 8:40 (GMT).
On the soft track of 1 mile, 3 furlongs and 135 yards, the three-year-old novice runner will face half a dozen rivals. On winning, he will be awarded £4,205.
The way Swnymor performed on the soft ground of the Pontefract during the last month depicts that the young horse will be able to enjoy great time today. Moreover, he will again run under William Buick who drove him to break his maiden in the last race.
Thus, these two things are going to be big advantages for him. Now it is up to him how better he manages to use them to his favour.
The Easton Park Stud-bred gelding started his career on May 2, 2012 at Pontefract, finishing 3rd in the very first outing. He moved ahead to get a runner-up position in the 13-runner Legends Blackpool At Central Pier Showbar Maiden Stakes over
1 mile and 4 furlongs at Haydock on June 13.
The brilliant son of Dylan Thomas out of Propaganda marvellously notched up top spot in the Bet Totepool On All UK Racing Maiden Stakes again at Pontefract on June 24.
Thus, Swnymor is keen to maintain his podium record intact and add second straight success to his portfolio by winning today’s marathon. Relatively, he has up to 90 percent chances to thrive.
Among his opponents, Last Shadow seems to be strong enough. The William Muir-trained bay gelding elegantly registered two consecutive triumphs on the soft course of Nottingham during April –May 2012, spiking up his confidence level to a great extent.
The son of Notnowcato out of Fairy Queen finished third in his last start at Salisbury on June 27. Thus, the momentous gelding will give tough time to Swnymor, and the battle between the two is likely to make the event thrilling enough. Good luck to them.
