Swollen, itchy bug bite/sting?

So this is the second time this has happened to me, before it was on my forehead and now it's on my foot. There's just a little dark pink spot, looks like a sting or bite? It itches a lot and when it happened it got really swollen. I'm not worried about it or in need of medical attention, I'm just wondering if this is common or if I'm allergic to a particular insect. I have no idea what did it, I didn't feel it, it just start itching then got really swollen and went down in a day. Just wondering....

This is a sign of an allergic reaction to an insect. If it is bothersome, put some white vinegar on it can help with the itch and the swelling.

You will need to be careful that you are not stung/bite around your neck, mouth, nose area where it can cut off your breathing. If that does happen you need to get medical attention immediately.
