Swollen Crest?????

Question

My horse lives at my aunts house with her two horses. Well my horses FRIEND one of her pasture mates has quite a long neck. She always holds it high. Well yesterday we noticed about 6 inches down the crest from the bridle path is swollen up to about 3 inches high. Its not her whole crest its only about 4 inches of it. What could this be??? Is it Nettle? Is it a bite??? HELP ME!!!!!

Call your vet to know for sure. Always better safe than sorry, with a horse's health.

It is more than likely a bite. It could be some thing else, but a bite is probably the cause.
