Swollen Ear and Ear infections?

I have had an ear infection for 2 weeks. The first week I was put on amoxicillion and it didn't help. I went back after 10 days I still had an ear infections and the put me on new meds. I went to the dentist the next day because my gums where swollen on the left side and I though it was my wisdom teeth. They weren't sure but put me on painkillers until they could find someone to pull them out. Well now today my left ear in swollen and I can barely hear. If the pain killers wears off I am in complete pain. The dr told if not better by tuesday to go back in. Should I wait or go to the er sooner.

Either go to the ER or to one of the emergency clinics.  Since this is effecting your hearing now, I would not wait until Tuesday.

I would go back and see the doctor. your ear and gum area will hurt the same .  keep taking all the meds they gave you and return to his office..
