Swollen Eye? (With picture)?

I had this a couple of weeks ago too. I go to bed fine and I wake up with a swollen lower eyelid and it's always the left eye. It's painful to blink, to close my eye and to touch it. I don't see any sort of sty or anything near it.. I also put ice on it for the pain and that helped a little. If it doesn't clear up soon I'll go to the doctor.

Possibly from eye makeup if you wear it? Don't remove it properly?

Maybe there's a little irritation in this eye (look in the lower inner lid) and the lack of moisture from not blinking during the night causes some swelling. Your swelling is mild, it's not severe.

Just place a cold water compress to cool it. Ice on your eye near the sinuses is not always a good idea.

But you should have a doctor check it out of course.
