Swollen Glands and Back Pain...What Could This Be?

Friday the gland on the left side of my throat swelled to about the size of a walnut, was sore to the touch, and my throat was sore on that side when I swallowed. It persisted until this morning when I woke up to find the swelling had gone down quite a bit, but the gland on the left side had puffed up even bigger and really hurts. My lower back is also achy and sore. My wisdom teeth are fine and so are my other teeth, so I don't think its dental related.

I just got over a cold and cough about a week ago, so I have a hard time believing I'm sick again!! Any thoughts on what might have caused this?

You have some kind of infection.  It might be related to the cold you had earlier.  Drink plenty of hot fluids and get lots of rest.  Try to get into the doctor whenever you can just to make sure its not anything major.
