Swollen Lymph Nodes? Or Something More? ?

Here is some background information: I fractured my neck in February 2007. I have been going to a chiropractor to strengthen my neck again. My neck is feeling better, but I continue to get neck/head aches on regular basis. So I am pretty used to them.

Now here is my question and a little detail: Last Saturday night I noticed a big bump on my neck. When I woke up on Sunday, it had gotten bigger and there were a lot more than the previous night. As each day goes by, the get bigger and rock hard. I can't move them and they hurt very badly! I have the worst pain I have ever experienced in my head! (even worse than my neck injury) I have open sores all over my head and they bleed a lot. The biggest sore covers about half of my head and then the other side has big ones that don't touch. My mom says I have a viral infection and it is effecting my lymph nodes and the infection is coming out through my head. We do not have health insurance, but I feel like it is more than just a virus.

Does anyone know what it is? Has anyone experienced something like this? Please help me! I have been suffering for a week and a half now!

  1. not to scare you it may(very unlikely) be the black plauge from the sounds of it. Are the soars black and have a ring around them? But best of all go see a docter I'm not one but that's the best explanation I have the plague does claim about 50 people a year but with treatment about 49 out of 50 live.

  2. Since this is life threatening you should go to the emergency room for treatment. No one has any idea what this could be so you need to be examined by a doctor. Check with the hospital to see if they offer the Hill-burton program . . which is basically free or low cost health care coverage to qualifying patients . . otherwise . . pay out of pocket as your life is certainly worth it:
