I woke up the other morning with the inside of my foot, near the arch...but near the ankle also bruised a bit and throbing...It somewhat felt like when you have a charlie horse in your foot and its pulled the muscles. I thought it would go away but, then yestarday ( two days later) i noticed its like a swollen ball on the inside and much bigger than before. Its throbing and hard to walk, yet i am still doing it because, i have to. There is no bite mark also? What could this be?

  1. Maybe a bone spur.  Go to the doc to get x-rays and anti-inflammatories.

  2. You could have been bitten by a spider. Most of those injuries will spontaneously resolve.

You may have plantar fasciitis. Ice and ibuprofen/aleve can help. Stretch and massage the soft tissues and muscles on the bottom of your foot. Make sure that you are wearing shoes with good arch support. Lose weight if your obese. See your physician if it does not improve. While a foot x-ray is a reasonable part of the examination,

Plantar fasciitis is rarely related to bone spurs.
