okay, so this may sound weird, but i've had a swollen finger for 3 years.

it all started when i went to sports camp, and someone JAMMED my finger from the hockey door and it smashed my finger. there was a bunch of blood blisters and stuff. i didn't tell my parents, but after a week they knew, i tryed ice, EVERYTHING. it wont go away.

and also my finger nail is all weird and likee rising up, and my fingers like swollen. but the blood blisters fell off.

how do i stop a swollen finger? should i get surgery to remove it?

  1. Do you mean cut the finger off? Thats crazy:)

If it is normal color and moves fine then it is healthy now for the most part.

The fingernail growing weird is probably because you damaged the nail bed. That is where your nail grows from and if its messed up your nail can grow in wrong.

Did you ever get your finger X rayed? I think the problem is that you broke it and the bone healed incorrectly and the shape of the bone is making your finger look swollen?

If it was tissue damage (like to the flesh of your finger), you'd probably see some weird color or soemthing and if it was muscle damage you probably couldn't move it well, so my guess is the bone just healed wrong. Go to the doctor and get it X rayed and examined to make sure it isn't something else that could get worse over time.
