  1. Two months in.... your gums should not be swollen. It may be that you are still getting used to braces , which is normal , but the problem may be more serious, so speak to your orthodontist.

  2. very common, called gingivitis. i ahd this jsut about the entire time i had my braces

youre doing very well with the brushing and flossing. flossing is oh so important, although it can be annoying with braces!

you can try bying an antibacterial mouthwash called sterisol...from any drugstore..you rinse with it after you brush after youve finished eating and then dont eat/drink for another 30-60 mins...

give it a few days-a week and you should start seeing results....

depending on how bad it is for you. although this mouthwash really does work and you should give it a try, it may not work for you. neither did it for me, i had pretty bad ginigivitis the entire time with my braces so i found this mouthwash did help me, but didnt totally get rid of it. like i said, it may work much better for you! also, this product is AWESOME for if you get ulcers in your mouth! now that i know it works very well for.

    good luck!

dont forget to make sure you book your dentist appts, they can help you tame some of the ginigivitis

  3. Gums become red and puffy and bleed if you do not brush them well. Its called gingivitis, which turn into gum disease that leads to tooth loss. Its hard to clean well with braces, just be sure to brush and floss under your gumline as often as possible. The swelling should go away, along with any sensetivity or bleeding you may have.
