i got my nose pierced about a week ago, it is absolutely fine on the outside but from the inside it's all swollen and i cant see the end bit of the stud as i have fat of cartilage anyway. will the inner bit of my hole close up if its not all the way through ? plus i have school in 3 days and they dont do invisible nosestuds with the extra long stick bit, so does anyone know any really quick ways to heal the swelling ?

thankyou :) x*x

  1. er noo but you should go to your doctor if its swollen it could be infected

  2. My piercing was infected as well.  I used a sea salt solution of 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt dissolved into 1 cup of clean fresh sterile water.  Take 2 cotton pads and soak it in the solution, stuff one up your nostril so it's soaking your piercing on the inside and place one on the outside of your nose on the piercing.  Let it sit for about 15 minutes, take a q-tip and clean off any of the softened gunk.  Do it at least 2 times a day.

It is very important not to use iodized salt (table salt) you must use sea salt.

Here is a great nose piercing jewelery I use and highly recommend because it is so easy to get on and off.  I will never go back to using the corkscrew design.
