Sycerika McMahon and Niall Wynn stun Dublin’s crowd - Irish Long Course Nationals
On the onset of the second day at the Irish Long Course Nationals, several types of performances took place especially from the side of Sycerika McMahon and Niall Wynn in the 100m breast-stroke and 400m Individual Medley meets in Dublin, Ireland.
Sycerika McMahon took home the golden crown in the Women’s 100m breast-stroke with an incredible time of 1:11.80 minutes. On the other hand, Shani Stallard won the silver medal in the following meet with a matchless time of 1:12.85 minutes and Catrina English
settled third in time of 1:16.20 minutes.
Stunningly, she grabbed her second gold medal in the Women’s 400m IM with a sterling time of 4:51.56 minutes. Meanwhile, Stallard took the second place with a winning time of 4:58.73 minutes and Saoirse McGrath settled third in a time of 5:14.56 minutes
in the respective meet.
On the other hand, Niall Wynn captured the Men’s 400m IM title with a captivating time of 4:27.96 minutes. Amazingly, he had broken Andrew Bree’s 2001 record of 4:30.10 minutes in the following meet. Paul Wudtke picked up the second seed in the 400m IM with
a distinctive time of 4:31.63 minutes and Nicholas Quinn wound up third with a time of 4:36.48 minutes.
Meanwhile, the Women’s 1500m freestyle crown was taken over by Nuala Murphy with a winning time of 17:19.13 minutes. On the other hand, Cliodhna Delaney took the silver title with an astounding time of 18:33.66 minutes and Sarah Kelly grabbed the bronze
medal in a time of 18:43.02 minutes.
In the Women’s 100m freestyle meet, Bethany Carson clinched the gold medal with a matchless time of 57.73 seconds, while Niamh Murphy settled second with a time of 58.35 seconds and Shauna Smith finished third in time of 58.50 seconds.
Conor Donnelly nabbed the Men's 1500 freestyle crown with a sterling time of 16:09.35 minutes, while Conor Turner took the silver in 16:12.13 minutes and Christopher Bryan wound up third in a time of 16:16.93 minutes.
In the Men’s 100m freestyle event, Luke Campbell took home the gold medal with a stunning time of 52.03 seconds. In the meantime, Curtis Coulter grabbed the silver title with a fabulous time of 52.89 seconds and Botonde Solymossy rounded out the top three
in 53.10 seconds.

Next, the Men’s 100m breast-stroke title was captured by Michael Dawson with a winning time of 1:03.92 minutes. Johnny Quinn rounded out the top two in 1:05.16 minutes, while Emmet Crowley finished third with a time of 1:05.52 minutes.

Last, but not the least, the Women’s 800m free relay title was clinched by India McGlynn, Gillian Gavaghan, Lisa Comerford and Aisling Cooney with a sterling time of 8:50.84 minutes, while Bernard Cahill, Dylan Ryan, Conor Rooney and Dylan Barrett won the Men’s
800m free relay crown with a winning time of 8:11.89 minutes.
