Market Rasen will stage the Class 5 Read Hayley At RacingUK.Com Every Friday Handicap Chase over three miles and a furlong on Friday, 11th May. The race that will see ten runners competing has a purse set at £1,819.
The most experienced candidate and that too during the new season is Sycho Fred, Buster King’s eleven-year-old bay gelding out of mare, Rebecca Steel. He has raced five times during the current season and the last three of those outings were at Market Rasen.
He slipped into the new season on 11th January in the St Leger Tickets On Sale 6th February Handicap Chase at Doncaster over three miles. The race was won by Quetzal while finishing the closest to the winner was Amroth Bay.
Sycho Fred finished fourth behind Get Ready To Go.
The eleven-year-old has his next start in the Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious Handicap Chase on 11th March at Market Rasen over two miles and six and a half furlong.
Sycho Fred claimed the race by a 3 ¼ lengths’ lead. Finishing the closest to the winner was La Pantera Rosa. The 13/8 favourite of the race, Babysitter, finished last.

His third try at Market Rasen was the most recent race that he took part in. He stationed fourth in the Allinson Print Handicap Chase on 28th April at Market Rasen over three miles and a furlong.
The race was won by Mumbles Head while qualifying as the runner up was Irish Guard. Sycho Fred finished fourth right after the 13/8 favourite of the race, Sir Tamburlane.
Today he will race through the sixth outing of the season and it will be his fourth trip in a row at Market Rasen.
Whiskey Ridge and Kercabellec are entries who have already raced at Market Rasen but have achieved nothing very significant. Sycho Fred will have to look out for the two.
