  1. Gee, some people go over the top when they answer a question dont they. ?  I dont live in either city, but have visited both earlier this year. I found Sydney cleaner, and friendlier, and more there to do. (I liked going on the ferries! cheap and good fun).Melbourne Victoria markets were ok. apart from that, its dull and grubby.   A 'yes no ' answer. Well, Yes Sydney. No Melbourne.

  2. Sydney to live

    Melbourne for holidays

EDIT - No need to go over the top, you don't see anyone else trying to 'sell' Sydney.

It really depends on what is most important to you as to which city you will prefer. There's nothing wrong with any of the other cities either.

  3. Sydney!! Melbourne is cold, windy and rainy.. And i agree with Daydream Sydney people are more friendly and laid back..Sydney has more to offer re: things to do.. And Sydney got the Olympics so it must be better!!

Where else in Australia, can you find all these attractions?

  6. I think they're both fantastic cities! Of course Sydney is more spectacular, you have your world-famous sights and it's a very beautiful place. Melbourne is more cultural, the museums are fantastic and you can see so much art everywhere! Especially people on the streets, they have a great sense of fashion and shopping is so much fun in Melbourne! No way I could choose between them!

  7. To quote Juan Antonio Samaranch

    And the winner is, Sydney
