Sydney Sixers v Sydney Thunder – Big Bash League, 2012/13 – Match Update – Haddin stars in Sixers’ 7-wicket win
Confident outings from wicketkeeper skipper Brad Haddin and Steven Smith were the driving force behind the Sydney Sixers’ 7-wicket victory over Sydney Thunder in the second match of the ongoing Big Bash Bash League 2012/13, played at the Sydney Cricket Ground
today on December 8.
Reigning BBL champions, the Sydney Sixers, once again proved their prowess in the T20 format, and got their campaign as the title-defenders off to a promising start, after having won the Champions League T20 in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 earlier this year.
At the forefront was skipper and Player of the Match http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Luke-Feldman-c1854 (4-0-19-2) spearheaded the Sixers’ bowling attack, and managed to keep Thunder down to a manageable
total.

allowed to proceed further, and Feldman intervened to send both batsmen packing – Rogers in the 9th over, and Guptill in the 11th.

their unbeaten 55-run partnership managed to get the team up to a final total of 143 for 5 by the end of 20 overs.

Opener http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Nic-Maddinson-c2099 (39) and Player of the Match Brad Haddin (59) teamed up for a 54-run partnership which put the team on steady ground.
Tremain picked Maddinson up as his second wicket of the day, but Haddin powered on, and set up an 83-run stand with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Smith-c90598 and Henriques (4*) took
the team home, enabling them to reach 147, with 7 wickets and 8 balls remaining.
