Question:

Sydney - Where do local writers do readings (fiction or poetry)?

I'd like to hear some poetry or short fiction by local writers and literature students, but all I can find in the papers are professional novelist readings.

They gotta exist -- where are the local writers hiding?!?! Is there a website or local free paper I should look them up in?

  1. The City of Sydney Library ( not the state library ) together with PEN promotes literary events for local writers. They are doing maintenance on their website at the moment and will be down for a while, so give the library a call for info.

    This is the website  http://www.cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au/holdi...
