Sydney less threatning without Hall?

Congratulations to Kieren Jack bein named AFLs Rising Star nominee from round 4!!! (not noted due to the great Hall debarkle!)

I noted alot of you guys still rate Sydney top 4/8 to finish.

Can I assume the general thought is that Sydney will do just fine without Hall in the forward line?

Or that Swans will sneak into the finals with later round wins?

  1. Less threatning without hall??? Of course, I can't see anyone else knocking anyone out.

but seriosly yes, they are less threatning but he only scored one goal on the weekend in a dominant display by the team.

  2. Of course.  Im a Swannies supporter.  And I hate the thought of not having a menacing full forward up front scaring all the little boys.  7 weeks is a long time with out a key player.

  3. No, Sydney is a well trained side, with this weeks outcome of Hall, Paul Roos will have to step up make some changes. A tough seven weeks maybe, a tough season, no. It's time for everybody to get on with the season, Brent Staker may of survived one of the big guys of footballs big hits, but come on mate, it's AFL, toughen up, Brent Stakers got a long way to go and obviously, this weeks news has played a big part of his carreer, 7 weeks is fair for the AFL.

With Hall out of this week and several others, he has just played a big part of the AFL season, Paul Roos will have to make drastic changes, do somthing wild, but the AFL needs to decide quickly on a red card system, the AFL and Australia needs to forget about the tough game for Staker and Hall, we all hope that things go well for Hall after the six weeks and of everybody hopes that Staker hasn't suffered any serious injuries.

Sydney are a great side, im sorry, i can't give you my ladder for after the grand final, but am pretty sure of a ladder ready for the finals, remember Sydney are great in the finals and have a great chance for finals time:

    1.Geelong Cats

    2.Hawthorn Hawks

    3.Sydney Swans

    4.Western Bulldogs

    5.St Kilda Saints

    6.Brisbane Lions

    7.Essonden Bombers

    8.Richmond Tigers

    9.Collingwood Magpies

    10.Port Adelaide Power

    11.Adelaide Crows

    12.West Coast Eagles

    13.Freomentle Dockers

    14.Carlton Blues

    15.North Melbourne Kangaroos

    16.Melbourne Demons

But i Think A sydney Grand Final is the best kinda Grand Final their is, my hopes and tips for the big one this year, Geelong vs Sydney, a tight one, and for Geelong vs sydney at skilled stadium this week i reckon its goina come down to those SKILLED forwards, Sydney and Geelongs, itll be a one point match hopefully, GOOOOO SYDNEY.

  4. A lot less threatening.  Especially this week against Geelong, not having Hall will free up Scarlett to run a muck and maybe mean O'Laughlin gets a better opponent.  Having one less key forward makes a huge difference no matter who it is.  In this case it is a player who is one of the better ones in the league so it will make an even bigger difference.

I still rate Sydney to finish highly though because they have done it without Hall before and they are a solid and disciplined unit.  If they can hold on around top four Hall will be back mid-season and they'll be right.

This week against Geelong his absence will only count for margin though because almost any AFL supporter would've noted it down as a Sydney loss with or without Hall.

  5. Yeah, they will be just fine, they still have Goodes, o'keefe, o'loch;an ........... they still have plenty of goal kickers in the team.

  6. Sydney wont be a threat this year - with or without Hall.

  7. Of course. Hall is one of the best football players in Australia! Sydney is definitely less threatening without him!

  8. thats  right pj the baz only kicked 1 goal  seems to me swans plays as a team maybe the swans will have a foward that will get the free kicks cause the baz does not get many

  9. I dont really think they will threaten the flag, but should make the finals.

that jack is a good player, sticks to his job well.

  10. I guess the Swans should do alrite this year, but i hope they dont because i dont like them.
