Sydney, even during Brisbane's premiership years, have a knack for defeating brisbane. This season sydney narrowly lost to my club - StKilda and defeated Port by 65 points. Most have predicted both of these to be top8 teams this season.

Brisbane on the other hand lost to West Coast who aren't as strong as in recent seasons and only just defeated Collingwood at their home ground. As a result - Sydney are in Better Form.

I think in this game, both teams' defenses will be very important and Sydney's is much stronger than Brisbane's. If the Swans shut down Jon Brown and Daniel Bradshaw, then the Lions won't get many goals. If they don't it will be a more even contest.

I'd say Sydney by 28 points.

The Swans may be compromised in the Ruck department - like Everitt's still out and Jolly I think won't be playing.  I am tipping a very close game.   If the Swans can go as well as they went against Port Adelaide then they could beat Brisbane at home.  Hard one to pick but you do need at least one good Ruckman and that is a bit of a worry for the Swans next round.

This game is always close. I think Sydney will win because we can close down Brisbane's scoring capacity but the Lions have let in a lot of points in the first two games (200 I think) but Sydney have only let in 120.
