  1. I used to live in Wentwothville, and many of my friends still do. There are some good public high schools in the area, such as Girraween (selective), Northmead (performing arts) and Model Farms (agriculture). There are also Catholic primary and secondary schools in the area, such as Marist/Catherine Mcauley, and Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

Depending on where you are, it's close to the train station and Northwest T-Way, and the trains that don't stop at Wenty always stop at Westmead, which is like 2 seconds away. It's close to the Westmead Hospital complex, and has some nice restaurants, like Piazetta Bella. For groceries, there's an Aldi and a Woolwiths on the Great Western Highway, and it's close to Parramatta, which has everything.

Wentworthville sometimes gets a bad rap, but there are some really nice pockets, and it is a good place to live.

  2. Shopping - Westpoint Blacktown or Westfield Parramatta

Travel to CBD I assume you mean travel to Sydney. Some trains do not stop at Wentwothville, and the ones that do go all stops. Best to drive to Parramatta as and catch a train as it will be faster.

Crime rate - No area is safe, it's not the best in the world but there are many worse.

Schools - Don't really know about that one, sorry

  3. Wentworthville is a pretty average western Sydney suburb with its share of public housing as well as first phase immigrants which are the Sudanese at the moment. If you are planning on driving to the CBD its about an hour commute on the average day, a bit less by train. There are some good high schools nearby such as Girraween High School which is academically selective. Other nearby schools such as Northmead High and Pendle Hill have boundaries which may be enforced depending on the popularity of the school. The closest major hub is Parramatta which is a city in itself and has some good dining particularly around the Phillip St area where restaurants such as Barnaby's, Sophocles, Sahra and Open Kitchen stand out.
