  1. if you dont have to drive take a plane..fuel will cost around 200 -300with a small vehicle

  2. Driving can take about 10-12 hours if you drive straight through.  The cost depends on the fuel consumption of your vehicle.

  3. Normal plane fares are between 150 to 300 dollars, depending on time of day, etc. The actual trip is about an hour and a half, plus time to check in and collect baggage. Allow at least three hours and you should be fine.

Sometimes you can get cheap fares on the internet, I know my bro travelled to Sydney from Bisbane for $89 each way earlier this year!

Driving can take up to 15 hours, and petrol is expensive ~ and gets more expensive in country areas! Also, the roads is good most of the way but there are still patches where it is hard driving.

If you want to sightsee, driving is nice, but it's better if you can break the trip and stay overnight in Coffs Harbour or even Ballina.

You can also catch the train (link below), which is an enjoyable trip if you have some time to spare. You get to see a bit of the country and don't have to worry about driving!

It costs about $91 for an economy seat, or $130 for first class. The trip takes between 14 and 15 hours.

    Cheers :-)
