Syed Modi International: Aprilla Yuswandari tames Sayali Gokhale in Women’s Singles round-of-16
Indonesia’s experienced female shuttler Aprilla Yuswandari displayed her elite skills on court and reached into Women’s Singles quarter-final after defeating her local opponent Sayali Gokhale in round-of-16 contest at Syed Modi International India GPG 2012
on Thursday, December 20, in India.
The impressive Yuswandari, who is the fifth seed in Women’s Singles draw in the championship, was on a different level as she easily toppled her lower ranked Indian challenger in just 32 minutes.
Indonesian lady played to her maximum potential in the arena and remained successful in showing exit to Sayali in straight games with a dominating margin without facing any considerable trouble.
The impressive speed and powerful strokes of Yuswandari helped her to take control of the pace right from the starting points of first set.

Mustering it further, the well placed smashes and spinning net shots kept Yuswandari ahead of her challenger all the way until the end of first part in second set.
Sayali failed to put up strong show in the second set of this fight as her opponent Yuswandari played flawless badminton and grabbed the set with a staggering total of 21-11.
Indonesian lady remained successful in winning this pre-quarter-final clash in straight games with a completely controlled 21-15 and 21-11 score on the board.
