Syed Modi International: Nichaon Jindapon topples Mudra Dhainje in Women’s Singles first round
Thailand’s experienced player Nichaon Jindapon showed a great performance in Women’s Singles first round as she easily thrashed Mudra Dhainje of India at Syed Modi International India GPG 2012 in Lucknow, on Wednesday, December 19.
The impressive Jindapon, who is the fourth seeded player in Women’s Singles main draw of the tournament, stayed calm and positive in the arena and remained successful in winning this battle in just 22 minutes.
Jindapon played with tremendous precision throughout this opening round contest and she managed to outplay her local challenger in straight games with a commanding margin on the score board.
On the contrary, the un-seeded Mudra failed to play aggressive badminton and she also could not take the bird early from all corners. She stayed miles behind on the board and crashed out without even getting close to her Thai challenger.
The higher ranked Jindapon performed really well from the initial points of first set as she played with wonderful speed and took over the control of the game.
Thai lady was incredibly quick in taking the bird timely and she did not encounter any trouble in placing her strokes in targeted areas.
Jindapon did not show any sign of confusion as she was in complete control of the pace and stayed miles ahead until the mid-game interval.
After the one-minute break, the lower ranked local shuttler tried to change things around by increasing her speed but she could not create any difference as her opponent was quick in all areas.
The positive and aggressive play of Jindapon assisted her to grab the opening game with a stunning margin of 21-12.
Mudra geared up her speed to play positive badminton in starting half of second game but she failed to create pressure on her rival.
Jindapon entertained the crowd with her impressive craft that helped her to maintain pressure on her challenger who could not find positive run.
Mudra could not put up strong show in the second game of this fight as her opponent Jindapon played positive badminton and secured the set with a lopsided margin of 21-6.
The impressive Jindapon emerged as the winner in straight games with a completely dominating 21-12 and 21-6 total on the board.
