The 32-year-old defender has expressed his satisfaction over PSG’s start to the season but feels that the Parisiens could have done better
One of the most experienced players at Parc des Princes, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sylvain-Armand-c34429, has expressed his views regarding Paris Saint-Germain’s start to the season.
While talking to PSG.fr, the former Nantes player stated that the Ligue 1 outfit was not up to the mark in their opening games of the campaign, after PSG drew three of their first four games of the 2012/2013 Ligue 1 campaign.
Win against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lille-OSC-c39800 was their first of the season, and Armand is confident that PSG will only improve in their up-coming games.
"It's been a mixed start, because we could have done better with a fixture list that wasn't too demanding.”
Les Parisiens only managed to get three points from their opening three games. And the PSG defender is of the view that the Paris club could have easily won those games but they were wasteful in front of goals.
However, the Ile giants were terrific in the game against Les Dogues in their last match, and Armand feels that the win was the kind of start they needed, and PSG are only going to get better from here.
“We should have more points from our opening four games of the season. But we have improved, because against Lille we showed another level of our game and I hope that game really marks the start of a great run."
Following the arrival of several star players at Parc des Princes this summer, Sylvain Armand has find himself confined to the bench. However, the 32-year-old is not much worried about that and is happy to be a part of PSG project.
The former Clermont Foot player added that he will fight for a place in the starting eleven and he is looking forward to the match against Toulouse.
“It's very positive. It's fantastic to play in a team like this one since the start of last season. The investments the club has made and the way the club is now run is exceptional for a player.”
Paris Saint-Germain take on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Toulouse-FC-c40751 on September 14, at Parc des Princes.
