Pillar in the defence for Paris Saint-Germain last season, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sylvain-Armand-c34429, now finds himself on the bench most of the time. However, the Frenchman still wants to end the season on a high

Since joining Paris Saint-Germain from Nantes in 2004, defender, Sylvain Armanda has made over 347 appearances for Les Parisiens. Now 31, the defender finds his role at the club diminishing by the day. The arrival of the Qataris has not been a good omen
for the Frenchman who now squats at the dugout most of the time.
However, Armand totally understands his role at the club and fully appreciates the new project. While talking to L’Equipe, the Frenchman said that he was not shocked to see his play time being reduced considerably. Though it is hard to accept, Armand says
that the arrival of new players has made competition stronger which will help the club a lot.
Despite not being a regular starter under Carlo Ancelotti, Armand has a lot of respect for the Italian.
“The coach behaves in the same way with old and new players, players who have been costly and players who cost nothing. He talks and laughs with everyone. I think it’s class on his part. No player feels put aside.”
Armand also added that having a foreign coach at Camp des Loges has taught him and other players like him who have not played out of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899, a lot of things.
After eight seasons at Parc des Princes, Armand may say au Revoir to PSG. However, the 31-year-old admits that it would always be difficult for him to leave the club.
“I love this club. Would be difficult to leave, especially if we don’t win the title.”
Coming back to the club’s ambitions for this season, Armand said that winning the Championelle is the top priority but added that winning the cup would also be welcomed.
Today, Paris Saint-Germain will play against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130 in the quarterfinals of the Coupe de France and Carlo Ancelotti might give the veteran defender a start knowing that despite all recent changes, he can always count on the old hands at the club.
