Sylvian Marveaux to join Liverpool
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 are reportedly close to signing exciting Rennes winger, Sylvian Marveaux. The 24-year old Frenchman was spotted in the club directors’ box last night, as Liverpool lost 1-0 against Wolverhampton Wolves at Anfield.
The imminent arrival of Marveaux is a rare cause of some ‘daring optimism’ for the Liverpool fans, as the defeat condemned Liverpool to the bottom half of the table. It is almost a done deal as Liverpool are just waiting for the transfer window to open so
an official announcement of Sylvian’s arrival can be made. The youngster was brilliant last season as he scored 10 times in 35 appearances for the Ligue 1 side.
This season he has scored just one goal in 10 games. The Frenchman has been compared to French star http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786. Marveaux will be out of contract this summer and Rennes have been keen to sell the striker in
January, so that they might get some cash for the winger rather than letting him leave for nothing at the end of the season.
The Frenchman could turn out to be a great signing for Liverpool in January, and the club has denied they are offering defender http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniel-Agger-c9884 to Wolfsburg. Agger has been out of favor at the club and is finding first team opportunities hard to come by but
his agent has denied such reports.
Meanwhile, Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson has hit out at Liverpool fans, who booed the team off the field at home during his sides’ 1-0 loss. After a successful time with Fulham, Hodgson has seen his popularity sink to an all-time low, as his Liverpool side
lie in the bottom half of the table.
However, the manager is adamant that his side can turn it around and the results will start coming. It was a very poor performance from Liverpool as Steven Wards’ goal gave the away side a 1-0 win, as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wolves-c40952 moved up a place from the bottom of the table.
However the loss will make Liverpool suffer even more, as they are still very far from securing even a Europa League place.
