Symantec antivirus problem !?

i have symantec antivirus on my computer for as long as i can remember. and it worked fine before i left. i went on vacation after liveupdate-ing it on my computer. the version was: 8/26/08 rev.23 and that was the day i updated it last.

now i came back and tried to liveupdate it like i usually do when i start my computer. there isnt a problem when i liveupdate it, but then the date did not change to the current day which it usually does.

how can i fix this problem?

uninstall it and reinstall it.

norton users. that is the WORST program i have ever seen. there is always an issure with it. always a problem that needs fixing.
