imagine if a vicious wild animal came at you.  Your pupils would dilate, your heart and respiratory rates would increase, your peripheral blood vessels will constrict, your central larger blood vessels will dilate, and your gut will shut down.

    Parasympathetic - conservation

Increased secretion, increase gastric motility, sweating, slowed heart rate, constricted pupils.
