  2. Before the disease breaks out, one to two weeks may pass with symptoms that are similar to those of flu.

A sore throat with swollen tonsils that are heavily covered by a white coating.

    Fever.

    Severe fatigue.

    Muscle pains.

    Headache.

    Tendency to sweat.

Stomach pains and there may be signs of an enlargement of the spleen.

Swollen and sore lymph nodes in the throat, armpits and the groin.

The liver may become enlarged and yellow jaundice may develop.

    There may be a rash.

  3. glandular fever as in mono?  Your lymph nodes on your neck swell and your throat is so sore, you have to spit instead of swallow.  I have never had a sore throat that bad in my life, I would have ripped it out if I could.

With your symptoms, especially sore joints, I'd guess it's more flu-like.  If you're head spins, you have fluid in your ears, you probably have a respiratory infection, could be viral like flu with the joint thing.  Take some Advil and go to the doctor in the morning.

  4. Go to the doc mate sore joints is a major sign of Glandular fever also if you are tired and fall asleep easily

Good luck hope you get well soon
