  1. One way is via Outlook... if you have the original disc that came with the Treo and you're not currently synchronizing with Outlook, you can reinstall the Palm software from the disk and specify you want to synchronize with Outlook, and then synchronize the iPhone with Outlook.

Of course, to do this, you actually need Outlook installed on your desktop.  And you need that original disc... Palm no longer send out replacement discs if you've lost yours.

Another possibility to get your contacts into the iPhone that might be more suitable for those who don't have Outlook or want to install it...

Export your Palm Desktop contacts to a CSV file.

Modify the CSV file to add a heading line containing the heading text for the fields, like "First Name", "Last Name", etc... my recollection is the Palm Desktop doesn't include a heading line so that's why you need to put it in.

Open a GMAIL account at www.gmail.com

Import your CSV-saved contacts into your GMAIL contacts... this link talks about the format of the CSV for importing into GMAIL:

    http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answe...

You can then sync your iPhone contacts to your GMAIL contacts via iTunes.

    Hope this helps!

    Cheers

    Steve
