Synchronised attracting attention from the punters and bookmakers for the John Smith’s Grand National
John Smith’s Grand National, scheduled to take place at Aintree on 14th April, 2012, is a highly anticipated event, and it will be attended by many enthusiasts of the sport. Betfred is expecting that a staggering £300 million
will be wagered on the mega event.
Synchronised, trained by Jonjo O’Neill for owner, John P. McManus, will enter with the odds of 12 to 1, and he will be mounted by Tony McCoy in this prestigious event.
The son of Sadler’s Wells, out of mare Mayasta, defeated, The Giant Bolster, by 2 ¼ lengths in the Grade 1 Betfred Cheltenham Gold Cup Chase, where he was mounted by jockey A. P. McCoy.

This performance was memorable, and it is expected that the nine-year-old gelding will perform in the same manner again.
O’Neill is expecting his runner to live up to the expectation as he told the press that:
"Personally, I think he has a great chance," he further stated that “The ground will be perfect for him, he will love the trip and I think he will be fine with the fences."
According to the bookmakers, one of the reasons that this race is so anxiously awaited is because the Cheltenham Gold Cup winner will be participating in it.
According to Coral, most of the buzz is created by Synchronised’s presence, and the event will attract three times as many bets.
David Williams, spokesman for Ladbrokes expressed his views about Synchronised, and told the press that:
"We're fully expecting our 12-1 about Synchronised to set pulses racing on National morning. We're putting our heads above the parapet on the busiest day of the year and it should make for a wonderfully busy morning."
The track at Aintree looks in great condition for this race as jockeys who raced earlier on it were satisfied.

Richard Johnson, a jockey, stated that because of the rain, the surface of the ground is good to soft, but it is not posing any problems.
Andrew Tulloch, who is the clerk of the course, stated that the three courses have been watered in a limited manner as the ground has already been rained on.
