Syncing songs from ipod to ps3???

whenever i go to copy the songs it says there are no tracks. why?

If you are copying songs from the PS3 to the iPod, that won't work, as you can only do this from iTunes. If you are copying songs from the iPod to the PS3, this won't work either. iTunes has to be involved at some point.
