Synthetic Oil Question?

When is a good time to get an oil change if you use synthetic oil?

I don't want to wait too long.

synthetic oil doesnt change for oil change its 3,000 miles regardless bvut there will be people that tell u otherwise viscosity starts to break down after that

the best thing to do to compare and get the pros and cons is check out a consumer report about it. it clears up all the woo woo woo from every one that thinks they know stuff.

i change my oil between 3 and 5 thousand miles,depends if you have water or fuel getting in there

This is one of those over hyped questions.

For regulaer driving on a regular ie less than 200hp

every 5000 miles or 8000 km is fine with synthetic.

Dont through away good oil. that what the oil companies what u to do.

Also refer to ur user manual, they may say 5000 km just to be anal and not be liable.

A good synthetic oil can go 6,000 miles with ease. If you use a premium oil filter and do mostly highway driving you could probably get away with 7500 miles between oil changes. I change mine every 6,000 miles and use the best oil filter I can get. Engine stays nice and clean inside. Wouldn't try that with conventional oil though.
