  1. You would have TSS while you were having your period not after.

Also if you had TSS you would be in no condition to post a question.

It has the same symptoms as REALLY bad case of flu. Very high

fever, vomiting, stomach cramps etc. You would be so sick you would be calling an ambulance if you were conscious long enough.

  2. you are more likely to get TSS from strep throat than tampon usage

  3. Symptoms of TSS would be present within 24 hours of the last day of your period, possibly even on the last day of your period itself. TSS occurs very suddenly, so if a week/several days have passed since you used a tampon, TSS isn't likely. Basically, here's how the symptoms of TSS work:

    Sudden symptoms:

    -Vomiting

-High fever (102 degrees F or above)

    -Lightheadedness/fainting

    -Watery diarrhea

    -Sore throat

    -Muscle aches

24 hours or less after acquiring TSS:

    -Sunburn-like rash

    -Possible bloodshot eyes

-Possible redness in eyes and mouth

If you have these symptoms and think you might have TSS, call your doctor ASAP! TSS is a serious medical condition, and can cause death if not treated promptly. If it's been a couple of days since you last used a tampon, and you just acquired these symptoms, TSS is probably not the case. Hope you feel better soon :)

  4. you get that rarely when you leave in a tampon for far too long. the only side affects i know of is sleeping for long periods of time, like a day.

  5. i think it has to be that time to get TSS...like i think it happens when you have it intoo long...like that day...i doubt it would show up 2 weeks later...a sunburn like rash, feeling sick, fever, headache are some symptomes (i think)

  6. Don't worry about it, if you havent felt really sick yet im sure you're fine

  7. How long did you leave your tampon in? Toxic Shock is very rare, but if you have fever nausea, etc after leaving a tampon in, you need to remove it immediately and seek emergency medical treatment.

  8. It could be days or weeks, symptoms are often flu like and will get worse rapidly. If you believe that you may be suffering from TSS then make an emergency appointment with your doctor immediately or go to hospital. It is important that you have someone with you just in case you become too unwell to look after yourself.

Good luck, hope that you feel better soon.

  9. i'm not really sure but i think you go into shock right away, but this is just what i think... maybe you should go on the website of the company for the tampon...

  10. well its caused from having a tampon in too long- so how long was it left in? it dostn have to do with the ending of your mensus
