1. I saw my doctor yesterday (not OB/GYN and unrelated) and he said that the hormone cannot be diluted in urine so why do they say to test in the morning? Does it matter what the color of the urine is (strong yellow or not)

2. Do people suggest you wait to test until after a missed period because personal experience had them with BFN when they were actually pregnant?

3. Has anyone had pregnancy symptoms that are sharp isolated pains that only last a few minutes in the stomach, side, legs and arms?

4. Please describe the soreness of b*****s - was there pain and was it under the arms, too?

Thanks so much for your help.

  1. 1. The reason why it is best to test your urine in the morning is because this is when your urine is at it most concentrate and therefore will pick up on the Pregnancy Hormone easier if you are pregnant!

    2. It is suggested to wait until you have missed a period because if you test too early it show up negative when you are actually pregnant!

    3. No I have not experienced any sharp pains.. Only aching in my stomach but thats just the baby growing!

    4. I have sore b***s but its mainly my nipples that are irritated/itchy and sore! I never got pains under my arms!

    Hope this was helpful! :)

  2. 1.  Hormones are usually produced at a certain "rate" depending on how far along you are in your pregnancy.  They recommend using first morning urine because you are likely to have "more" of it present in your urine, compared to during the day, when you don't accumulate as much of it, because you are going to the bathroom more often.

    2.  If you have a regular cycle, and have missed a period, the tests are quite a bit more accurate at that point.  First of all, you don't have to worry about testing too early.  Secondly, the more time that goes by, the more likely the hpt will be able to detect the hcg in your urine.

    3.  I have had some sharp but quick pains in the abdomen, and on the sides.  They come and go.  But I have not had any pain in my legs and arms.

    4.  My soreness is mainly the sides and the nipples.  Don't have any pain under my arms.

Hope this answers your questions, and good luck to you!

  3. your urine doesn't dilute, but the hormones are the strongest in the morning.

They suggest to test after your period b/c the HCG levels are higher after and easier for a HPT to detect the hormone.

Sharp isolated pains in the stomach could be you ovulating.

the soreness in your breast are unmistakable, they are totally sore...that didn't happen to me with my second though
