I know you aren't supposed to delete files from system32 especially .dll files. But I just scanned my computer with avast, it got 4 virus's in system32. I put them in the Virus Chest, which should be fine, but the thing is the avast thing is a demo, stupid question i know, when avast trial runs out, do the virus's come out of the virus chest, and back onto my computer?

  1. Restart your PC in safe mode with networking

Download, install and run a full scan with Malwarebytes

Run a full scan with Micro Trend House Call

After the scans, restart the PC and update your anti-virus, remember to only have one anti-virus installed on your PC

get this and use it, uninstall avast

  4. Also, you can remove the HDD and scan for viruses on ANOTHER computer. If *.dll files (windows files) is damage, you can recovery then from windows console.

  5. Your information is not true.

Almost all the viruses hide themselves in system32 folder because virus writer know that most users do not dare to delete files in that folder without knowing what they are doing.

    Trust Avast.

The chest is use to quarantine the infected files. It is like a jail cell for criminals. Your system is safe as long as they stay in there.
