System Error Code

I have a System Error Code e000 on my Canon Image Class laser printer.  I have not been able to clear it out.  This code appeared after a strong thunderstorm.  Is it a fuse that needs replacing?  Can anyone advise me.  I borrowed the unit for a special trade event and I have to return it to its owner.  I would like to be able to fix the problem.
