System Restore not working!?

Question

Hi i just had a huge virus on my computer so i decided to do a System Restore because i had no idea how to remove it. So then i opened System Restore i chose Restore my computer to a earlier time and clicked next. Then i chose the date (2weeks ago) and i clicked next after that it said to confirm it so i confirmed it and clicked next but nothing happened! i tried over and over still nothing.... Please help me this virus is soooo annoying and i cant even fix it! (The virus is the stupid Antivirus - 2008)

well u cant really take viruses of ur computer with a simple restore point try using spybot
